Terms and Conditions

By participating in AweSnapp’s annual and monthly Artist Awards, you agree to comply with the following Terms and Conditions. Please read carefully before submitting your work.

Eligibility

  1. Age Requirement: Entrants must be 18 years and above at the time of submission.
  2. Open to All Artists: The competition is open internationally to both emerging and established artists.
  3. Accepted Mediums: Artists may submit works in any 2D or 3D medium, including but not limited to:
    • Painting (oil, acrylic, watercolor, etc.)
    • Drawing (charcoal, pencil, ink, etc.)
    • Photography
    • Sculpture
    • Mixed Media
    • Digital Art
  4. Exclusions:
    • Collaborative works are accepted only if all contributing artists are disclosed.
    • Plagiarized or offensive content is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate disqualification.
    • Works that have previously won 1st, 2nd or 3rd place in the annual Art Award are not eligible.

Submission Guidelines

  1. Original Work Only: All submitted works must be the artist’s original creation. Works derived from other sources must credit those sources.
  2. Submission Limit: Artist can submit 10 images per application. There are not limits to how many images artists submit
  3. Image Requirements: High-quality images that showcase the details of the artwork must be submitted. Low-resolution, blurry, or poorly lit images may be disqualified.
  4. Entry Fee: All entry fees are non-refundable and must be paid in full before the submission deadline. Incomplete submissions or unpaid fees will result in disqualification.

Judging Criteria

  1. Submissions will be evaluated based on:
    • Artistic Merit: Demonstration of skill, creativity, and originality.
    • Interpretation of Theme: How effectively the artwork conveys the award’s theme.
    • Visual Impact: Overall aesthetic appeal and emotional resonance.
    • Composition and Design: Effective use of artistic principles to create a cohesive piece.
  2. Judging Panel:
    • The AweSnapp team and a panel of anonymous guest jurors will evaluate submissions to ensure a fair and unbiased process.

Prizes

  1. Cash Prizes: A total of $1,000 USD will be awarded as follows:
    • Each category (Traditional and Photography) gets $500 total:
      • 1st Place: $250
      • 2nd Place: $150
      • 3rd Place: $100
  2. Additional Rewards:
    • Newsletter features, and social media spotlights for winners.
    • All winners and honorable mentions will receive a digital certificate of achievement.
  3. Payment of Cash Prizes:
    • Cash prizes are sent via PayPal or Giftcards only.
    • Winners must confirm their PayPal email address within 30 days of notification. Failure to confirm within this period will result in forfeiture of the cash prize.

Key Dates

  1. Submissions must be completed by the stated deadline. Late entries will not be accepted.

Use of Artwork

  1. By entering the competition, you grant AweSnapp Artist Award the right to use submitted artwork images for promotional purposes, including but not limited to:
    • Featuring artwork on the award website, social media platforms, and newsletters.
    • Highlighting winners and honorable mentions in marketing materials.
  2. Copyright: Artists retain full copyright ownership of their work.

Disqualification

  1. Submissions may be disqualified if they:
    • Fail to meet eligibility or submission requirements.
    • Contain plagiarized, offensive, or inappropriate material.
  2. Entry fees for disqualified entries are non-refundable.

Liability

  1. AweSnapp Artist Award is not responsible for technical issues, including but not limited to:
    • Problems with image uploads during submission.
    • Payment processing errors.
    • Late or incomplete entries.
  2. Artists are solely responsible for ensuring their submissions are complete and accurate by the stated deadline.
  3. If you can’t submit online, email your entry to contact@awesnapp.com with: Your name, Email, Website, and Country, Title and Medium of each Artwork. Artwork Filename Must include title of artwork  (JPEG, JPG, PNG, max 2MB). We’ll send you an invoice for the entry fee, which will be dependent on the number of images sent. Submissions will be confirmed within 2-3 business days.

Agreement

  1. By submitting your work, you agree to:
    • Abide by these Terms and Conditions.
    • Accept the jury’s decisions as final and binding.
  2. AweSnapp Artist Award reserves the right to modify these terms at any time without prior notice.
